Your AI Plant is a virtual companion game. Your plant lives on your device; a small backend service helps it think and speak. This policy explains what information is involved, why, and what never leaves your phone. The game is built to need as little of your data as possible.
1. What we collect, and why
A random device identifier. The app generates a random ID on your device (it is not your name, phone number, advertising ID, or any account). It accompanies requests to our backend so we can apply fair usage limits (such as daily free allowances and any introductory allowances), prevent abuse, and link your purchases to your device.
Messages you type or speak to your plant. When you chat, your message text is sent to our backend and processed by an AI language-model service to generate your plant's reply. When your plant speaks aloud, the reply text is processed by a cloud text-to-speech service to generate audio.
Things you choose to tell your plant. If you share details in conversation (like your name or favorite food), the plant remembers them on your device, inside your local save file. A small recent portion is included with chat requests so replies feel personal.
Anonymous usage counters. Our backend keeps per-device counters (for example "free voice lines used today") with limited retention, so free allowances work fairly for everyone.
Purchases. Payments are processed entirely by your device's app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). Purchase entitlements are validated and managed by a dedicated purchase-management service that verifies receipts. We never see or store your card or banking details.
2. Your microphone
If you use voice input, speech recognition runs on your device using Android's built-in recognizer. Only the resulting text is sent to our backend. We never receive, record, or store your raw voice audio. The microphone is used only while you actively tap the mic button, and the permission can be revoked anytime in Android settings — the game continues to work fully with typing.
3. What we do not do
No ads and no advertising SDKs of any kind.
No selling or sharing of your data for marketing purposes.
No account or registration — we never ask for your email, phone number, or contacts.
No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
No location collection. (Weather inside the game is decorative and generated by the game itself.)
No storage of your conversations. Chat messages are processed to generate a reply and are not kept as chat logs on our servers. Your plant's memory of you lives in your device's save file.
4. Where your data lives, and for how long
On your device: your entire save — the plant, its memories of you, coins, settings, and the random device ID. Deleting the app removes this local data.
On our backend: only the anonymous usage counters keyed to the random device ID. Daily counters expire automatically within days, monthly counters within weeks. A minimal record of when a device first used the app is kept so that one-time introductory allowances cannot be reset or repeated. Generated speech audio may be cached briefly, keyed by the spoken text itself, to reduce cost — such cache entries are not linked to any person.
5. Service providers (processors)
To make the plant think and speak, we rely on a small number of established service providers: an AI language-model provider (to generate replies), a cloud text-to-speech provider (to generate the plant's voice), secure cloud infrastructure (to run our backend), a purchase-management service (to validate your app store's receipts), and your device's app store — Google Play or the Apple App Store — itself (billing and app distribution). Each provider receives only the minimum needed to perform its function and operates under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms. We do not permit any provider to use your data for advertising.
6. Children
Your AI Plant is intended for users aged 13 and above. The app asks for a birth year at setup; for users who indicate they are under 13, AI chat and microphone features are disabled and the game runs in a restricted mode. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and rights
Delete local data: uninstall the app, or use Reset Save inside Settings for the save file.
Delete backend data: email us and we will remove the usage counters associated with your device identifier.
Microphone: deny or revoke the permission anytime; typing always works.
Purchases & refunds: handled through your app store's standard tools (Google Play or the App Store); "Restore Purchases" in Settings recovers your passes after a reinstall.
8. Security
All traffic between the app and our backend uses HTTPS encryption. Backend data is limited to the anonymous counters described above. No system is perfectly secure, but we deliberately minimize what exists to be protected.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
